As the sole university representative from Hong Kong, as part of the Asian Universities Alliance (AUA), The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) hosted a delegation of distinguished Alliance representatives on November 4 for the inaugural meeting of the AUA Innovation & Entrepreneurship Network.
During the meeting, Prof. Carrie LING, Director of Entrepreneurship Center, highlighted the development of entrepreneurship education and the support provided to student start-ups since the Center's establishment in 1999. Ms Yvonne LI, Head of Global Engagement and Greater China Affairs, shared insights on international partnerships with overseas institutions, focusing on entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer through various educational platforms and competitions.
The event brought together representatives from the Entrepreneurship and Knowledge Transfer Offices of AUA member universities to foster collaboration, nurture entrepreneurial talent, and drive impactful innovation across the Asia region.
The meeting coincided with the week-long celebration of the 25th anniversary of the HKUST Entrepreneurship Centre, reaffirming HKUST’s mission to fostering entrepreneurship and extending its influence beyond Hong Kong, contributing to the global innovation and technology ecosystem.
