HKUST Vice-President for Institutional Advancement, Prof. WANG Yang, led a delegation to Paris last week to share his profound insights into the revolutionary era of digital learning in education at the UNESCO Digital Learning Week 2024. 
 
Prof. Wang and Prof. Kani CHEN, Program Director of MSc in Financial Mathematics and Co-Director of Risk Management and Business Intelligence Program, participated in a breakout session titled “Leveraging Digital Transformation for Green Skills, Green Jobs, and Youth Climate Action” on September 5, discussing how blockchain, AI and green transformation of education industry could shape our sustainable future.
 
During the Digital Learning Week, Prof. Wang and Prof. Chen engaged in fruitful exchanges with representatives from UNESCO Education Sector on the global development of AI and blockchain education. They also met with representatives from the UNESCO Culture Sector, covering topics related to the use of advanced technologies for cultural heritage protection, and international register of cultural property at the UNESCO Headquarters. HKUST is committed to contributing its expertise and knowledge to support UNESCO’s mission.
