The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) welcomed a delegation from the Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT) to its campus on February 13.

HKUST Vice President for Research and Development Prof. Tim CHENG engaged in a productive discussion with Dr. Andreas GÖTHENBERG, Executive Director of STINT, and Dr. Erik FORSBERG, STINT’s Asia-Pacific Representative, focusing on exploring research collaborations and talent development in the Greater Bay Area.

Prof. Cheng highlighted HKUST's pioneering role as Hong Kong’s first research-intensive university, driving internationalization in research and enabling new discoveries. The meeting offered insights into STINT's numerous opportunities to internationalize Swedish research and higher education, supported by the Swedish government, particularly in the fields of science and technology.

This meeting served as a valuable platform for exploring future partnerships and deepening international research ties.
