HKUST to Host 2nd AI Film Festival Showcasing Global AI Creativity

Committed to advancing interdisciplinary innovation through artificial intelligence+ (AI+), The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) continues to promote the integration of AI into Art Tech development. Following the successful launch of the first AI film festival in Greater China last year, HKUST will host the 2nd AI Film Festival (AIFF) this Saturday and Sunday (May 16–17) at the Shaw Auditorium.

HKUST Holds Plaque Unveiling Ceremony for the HKUST- Li-Ning Joint Laboratory for Sports Science and Technologies

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) has formed a strategic partnership with Li-Ning Group to establish the HKUST-Li-Ning Joint Laboratory for Sports Science and Technologies (the Joint Laboratory).

Millions of students worldwide have long relied on self-paced learning through pre-recorded video lectures, a model that forms the backbone of massive open online courses (MOOCs) and large-scale online education. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, dependence on video-based online learning has increased significantly, with learner participation rising sharply. However, this expansion has also been accompanied by a widespread decline in student engagement, undermining overall learning outcomes.
