The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) hosted Consul General Yul EDISON of the Republic of Indonesia for his inaugural visit to campus on February 28.

Marking a new chapter in collaboration, CG Edison engaged in fruitful discussions with HKUST leadership, including Vice President for Institutional Advancement Prof. WANG Yang, Associate Vice-President (Global Engagement & Communications) Ms. Daisy CHAN, Director of Undergraduate Recruitment & Admissions Prof. Emily NASON, and Head of Global Engagement and Greater China Affairs Ms. Yvonne LI. The conversation centered around strategies to enhance student mobility and the available resources for Indonesian students studying in HKUST, as well as for local students participating in cultural programs.

The delegation then toured the Lee Shau Kee Library and had an engaging dialogue with more than 20 students and professors from Indonesia. These interactions provided invaluable insights into the vibrant campus life at HKUST and the promising future career prospects available to Indonesian students studying at the University.

This visit marked a significant milestone in strengthening the ties between HKUST and Indonesia. With a shared vision of empowering future generations, HKUST look ahead to forging deeper collaboration between two regions.
