The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) have entered into the first undergraduate student exchange agreement with South China University of Technology (SCUT) on February 28, aiming to enhance students' understanding of the Greater Bay Area.

HKUST Council Chairman Harry SHUM and President Nancy IP warmly welcomed SCUT Party Secretary Prof. ZHANG Xichun and his delegation for insightful discussions. As leading technology universities, HKUST and SCUT play crucial roles in supporting the development of higher education in the Greater Bay Area and the country. Both institutions are committed to learning from each other and exploring innovative educational approaches, with the shared goal of establishing the Greater Bay Area as a global hub for innovation.

With new campuses and international colleges established in Guangzhou and Nansha respectively, HKUST and SCUT are well-positioned to strengthen their collaboration in talent development and scientific research. This collaborative effort is expected to play a pivotal role in driving the economic and social advancement of the Greater Bay Area.
