The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) welcomed Ms. Satwant KHANALIA, Consul General of India in Hong Kong and Macau, visiting HKUST campus on June 1.
Ms. Khanalia had a fruitful meeting with HKUST leadership and faculty including Dr. KIM Shin Cheul, HKUST Associate Vice-President for Research and Development (Knowledge Transfer); Prof. Emily NASON, Director of Undergraduate Recruitment and Admission Office; Prof. Lancelot JAMES, Chair Professor from School of Business and Management; Prof. Abhiroop MUKHERJEE from Department of Finance; and Head of Global Engagement and Greater China Affairs Ms. Yvonne LI.
Ms. Khanalia also engaged in an interaction session with Indian students currently studying at HKUST and invited them to collaborate with the Consulate to promote Indian culture in Hong Kong. Ms. Khanalia commended HKUST's innovative approach to education and research, and its commitment to supporting international students.
The visit underscored HKUST's commitment to promoting global collaboration and engagement. The university remains dedicated to fostering stronger ties between HKUST and India, leveraging this partnership to generate new opportunities for students and drive innovation together.
