The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) hosted a delegation from KTH Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) on April 17 to advance research and education.

HKUST Vice-President for Institutional Advancement Prof. WANG Yang and faculty representatives engaged in a productive discussion with KTH delegation, including Prof. Stefan ÖSTLUND, Vice President for Global Relations; Prof. Per BERGLUND, Deputy Head of the Department of Industrial Biotechnology; and Prof. Urban WESTERGREN, Director of China Relations, School of Engineering Sciences, etc.  This collaborative initiative seeks to strengthen the partnership between HKUST and KTH through enhanced faculty and student exchange programs, providing faculty and students with invaluable opportunities to expand their knowledge and enrich their learning experiences.

As a testament to HKUST's pioneering work in autonomous vehicle technology, the School of Engineering arranged a demonstration of their cutting-edge multi-functional autonomous vehicle for the visiting representatives from KTH. The KTH delegation also explored HKUST's state-of-the-art facilities, including the Shaw Auditorium, which serves as a hub for cultural activities; and the Lee Shau Kee Library, which houses a wealth of knowledge and resources.

By fostering closer ties and promoting knowledge exchange, both institutions are committed to advancing research, education, and the pursuit of groundbreaking discoveries.
