Artist biography: Agnes Ku
Agnes Ku is a sociologist and an Associate Professor at the Division of Social Science of HKUST. She is the first faculty member who holds a solo exhibition at the HKUST Library. This exhibition features more than 20 photos in panoramic format taken by Professor Ku using a mobile phone. She is particularly interested in exploring the relations among memory, identity and cityscape.

In celebration of our 25th Anniversary, a growing collection of videos was made to feature the remarkable community at HKUST – past and present. “Having an interview with the President Woo made me think that apart from tracing my own roots, I should also look for ways to contribute to the city of Hong Kong.” Professor of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Prof Johnny Sin said.

Inauguration of France-HKUST Innovation Hub
The Consulate General of France in Hong Kong & Macau and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) are joining hands to establish the France-HKUST Innovation Hub. Mr Eric BERTI, Consul General of France, and Prof Tony F CHAN, President of HKUST, attended the inauguration ceremony on 24 March 2017 at the HKUST Lee Shau Kee Campus.

Long Service Award 2017
The annual Long Service Award Presentation Ceremony was held on 2 March 2017 to express appreciation and recognition to long-serving faculty and staff members who have dedicated their hard work to contribute to the University for 20 years. This year, HKUST presented awards to 66 colleagues.
