'Father of Lan Kwai Fong' Dr Allan Zeman To Speak On Entrepreneurship At UC RUSAL President's Forum

UC RUSAL (SEHK: 486, Euronext: RUSAL/RUAL, Moscow Exchange: RUALR/RUALRS), a leading global aluminum producer, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) have invited Dr Allan Zeman, Chairman of Lan Kwai Fong Group and Chairman of Ocean Park Corporation, to speak at the UC RUSAL President’s Forum on 22 November 2013.

Hosted by Prof Tony F Chan, President of HKUST, the UC RUSAL President’s Forum will feature renowned businessman Dr Allan Zeman. At the forum, he will share insights on Entrepreneurship: Turning “I Wish” into “I Will”.

Dr Allan Zeman has miraculously transformed Lan Kwai Fong into a world-class entertainment destination and a must-visit destination to which expatriates, visitors and returnees now flock. He is known as the Father of Lan Kwai Fong. He has exported the brand to Mainland China in recent years. He has also turned the Ocean Park into one of the world’s top-50 most visited destinations, prompting Forbes to call him the Mouse Killer.

Dr Zeman has been deeply engaged in the local community and served in a number of key government and community organizations. He was awarded the Gold Bauhinia Star and Grand Bauhinia Medal in 2004 and 2011 respectively in recognition of his outstanding contributions to Hong Kong. HKUST conferred the honorary degree of Doctor of Business Administration honoris causa on Dr Zeman last year.

The UC RUSAL President’s Forum
The UC RUSAL President’s Forum is organized under the auspices of the HKUST Jockey Club Institute for Advanced Study and is held biannually in Hong Kong. Prestigious scholars and scientists as well as successful business leaders and entrepreneurs are invited to share with the audience their views on varied topics including the latest trends in science and technology and its relationship with and impact on humankind, knowledge transfer, entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity.
