HKUST 2014 One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition Fosters Entrepreneurial Spirit
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) held its annual HKUST One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition to foster entrepreneurship and identify the best business prospects. The Competition is a platform for HKUST community to bring their business ideas focusing on innovative and technology from concept to consumer. Winners can use the cash prize as seed money to form their companies or to realize the commercialization of their inventions.A total of 117 teams participated in the Competition this year. Each team consisted of at least one member of students, faculties, staff and alumni from HKUST’s school of Science, Engineering and Business. An international judging panel comprising leading executives, venture capitalists and entrepreneurial academics shortlisted 12 finalists for the final round of competition.

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) held the annual HKUST One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition with total awards amounting to HK$1 million to foster entrepreneurship. The championship went to Solaris, while Agito Group Limited and Inno-Chemos (International) Technology Limited were the second place and third place winners respectively.This year, 85 teams participated in the Competition. Each team consists of at least one member of faculty, staff, students and alumni from HKUST's schools of Science, Engineering and Business. An international judging panel comprising leading executives, professional investors and entrepreneurial academics selected 12 finalists.

HKUST Organizes 2012 One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition To Foster Entrepreneurial Spirit
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) held the HKUST One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition again this year. Neoid Limited was the champion, while Green ACE and iTorr were the first and second runners-up. The total awards offered by this Competition amounted to HK$1 million.This was the second time HKUST organized the HKUST One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition. 89 teams made up of faculty, staff, students and alumni from the schools of Science, Engineering and Business participated. More than 50 leading executives, professional investors and entrepreneurial academics formed an international judging panel to select 12 finalists after rounds of rigorous competitions.

Asia's First Social Media Research Laboratory HKUST NIE Social Media Laboratory Officially Opens

HKUST Committed to Fostering Entrepreneurship and Organizes HKUST 2011 Entrepreneurship Competition
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) announced the winners of the HKUST 2011 Entrepreneurship Competition. Wah Kin Holdings Ltd, with its hair-testing technology, clinched the championship, while LEDoS, Allegro IQ and iFlight Technology won the first, second and third runner-up trophies. The total awards offered by this Competition amounted to HK$1 million.

International Symposium on Commercialization of Science and Technology
Technology and business leaders from 10 major economies will share their experiences in promoting technology-driven growth at an international symposium to be held in Hong Kong next week.The symposium, entitled “Economic Development through Commercialization of Science and Technology”, is jointly organized by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation. The 4-day event will begin on 19 March 2002 (Tuesday).The symposium will hear models and experiences from Silicon Valley, India’s hitech region of Bangalore, the UK’s Cambridge Science Park, as well as those of the Chinese Mainland, Germany, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, Sweden, Israel, and Canada. Presentations will also be made on Hong Kong’s own technology initiatives, including the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks, and the Nansha IT Park in Guangdong, of which HKUST is a development partner.
