HKUST to offer more than 1,000 Scholarships to young talents
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is offering more than 1,000 scholarships amounting to $31 million to outstanding students from across the world, including the Mainland, Taiwan and Macao. "Investing in the younger generation is one of the best investments a community can make. The offer of scholarships is an effective way to ensure that good students would not miss out on university education because of lack of means. Scholarships also enable our students to fully concentrate on their studies and campus life." said Prof Roland Chin, HKUST's Vice-President for Academic Affairs. In the coming academic year, over $10 million of scholarship has been set aside for the new intake of Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination students through JUPAS.
