The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) has officially established a strategic partnership by signing cooperation agreements with Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University (Huashan) and Ruijin Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (Ruijin). The collaboration will focus on research, talent development, medical education, and international exchange, aiming to jointly nurturing clinical scientists and medical professionals with international perspectives and cutting-edge innovative capabilities. This partnership seeks to accelerate the translation and application of high-level clinical research outcomes and promote high-quality development of healthcare across both cities.

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is pleased to partner with SEMI to co-host the inaugural Semiconductor Innovation and Intelligent Application Summit (SIIAS) on December 2, 2025. Prof. GUO Yike, Provost and Chair Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), has been elected as an International Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the Information and Electronics Engineering Division. The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and JD.com today signed a cooperation agreement to establish the “HKUST – JD.com Joint Laboratory” (Joint Lab).
