It targeted students in the eight UGC-funded university communities to encourage positive behaviour change in leading a more sustainable lifestyle through various project themes under the three programme pillars. Key initiatives include:

With the support of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, we are here today to mark the success of the programme and to start a new chapter. The knowledge and momentum we’ve gained will continue to drive us towards our goal: a future with responsible consumption and production. Together, we’ve laid the foundation for even greater progress in the years ahead.”
Mr. Cheng commended the remarkable success of the programme and said, “These initiatives have inspired sustainable lifestyles by encouraging waste reduction, using reusable items and promoting environmental awareness, aligning seamlessly with Hong Kong’s waste management strategy.” He added, “By cultivating green habits among young people, programmes like this create a powerful ripple effect, extending far beyond university campuses. Students are not only the leaders of tomorrow but also the changemakers of today.”
Dr. Leung highlighted, “None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the collaboration of the HKSCC member universities and the dedication from its working group members and the Programme Management Office. Thank you all for your hard work and commitment.”
Sustainability Student Leaders from the programme were also invited to the closing ceremony, with four of them sharing their experiences during a fireside chat session on the stage.
