HKUST MBA Claims No.14 in Financial Times Global Ranking
The MBA Program, offered by the School of Business and Management at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST Business School), has been ranked No.14 in the world by the Financial Times. This is the ninth consecutive year that the Program has been ranked in the top 15 globally.
The HKUST MBA Program has constantly achieved positive results throughout the years. The newly released Financial Times Global MBA Ranking once again reflects the joint efforts made by the Program and the surveyed alumni who graduated in 2014 (i.e. intake of 2012) to understand the business talent that the changing market needs.

HKUST Launches Department of Industrial Engineering and Decision Analytics
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is enhancing the Department of Industrial Engineering and Logistics Management (IELM) by introducing decision analytics into its curriculum, opening a new spectrum of job opportunities to the students and allowing them to tackle traditional industries with new vision and knowhow.
IELM will be renamed the Department of Industrial Engineering and Decision Analytics (IEDA) to reflect its growing portfolio of teaching and research in decision analytics – a relatively new domain which involves extensive analysis of data using statistical models, machine learning algorithms, simulation, creative modeling and prescriptive analytic tools for making wise decisions for various problems in modern society.

Kellogg-HKUST EMBA Program Ranks World’s No.1 for Eighth Time
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) partnership Executive MBA (EMBA) program is ranked No.1 in the world in the latest Financial Times (FT) Global EMBA Rankings. This is the eighth time the Kellogg-HKUST EMBA program has topped the highly respected international ranking chart.
Welcoming the recurrent recognition, Prof Tony F Chan, President of HKUST, said: “The Kellogg-HKUST EMBA provides the highest quality of executive education, fostering perceptive business leaders with a global insight to manage today’s increasingly dynamic world. As a first mover in Asia, our East-West partnership with Kellogg that brings together top-tier faculty and students around the world has become a model for other universities in Asia.”

BizInsight@HKUST Forum Examines the Future of Chinese Family Businesses
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology School of Business and Management (HKUST Business School) hosted a BizInsight@HKUST Luncheon Forum on 13 September 2017. The forum featured scholars in the field of family business studies and a dynamic group of next generation leaders to discuss the future of Chinese family businesses.
Over 160 business leaders, professionals working for family businesses and guests from the HKUST community also gathered to honor the renewed donation from the Tanoto Foundation to the HKUST’s Tanoto Center for Asian Family Business and Entrepreneurship Studies.
