The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) today (Friday, 27 February 2009) announced the appointment of Prof Leonard Cheng as Dean of the School of Business and Management (Business School).

Professor Chak Chan of HKUST has become the first Asian to be appointed Editor-in-chief of a leading academic journal on air pollution in its 50-year history.

A bio-tech start-up company using HKUST’s cutting edge scientific discoveries to produce skin care products has won a Certificate of Merit Award at the Hong Kong Awards for Industries.

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology today (15 January 2009) announced the appointment of a world renowned scholar, Prof James Z Lee, as Dean of Humanities and Social Science with effect from 1 May 2009.
