HKUST research team has developed a comprehensive 3D mapping technology and platform which are critical for the next-generation of true 3D maps chased now by all internet giants in US and China.

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) undergraduates have achieved the best results ever in the CIMA Global Business Challenge in Hong Kong. One team took the championship title and the other was the second runner-up.

The HKUST Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) Sub-team, which consists of 14 HKUST students from different disciplines, won championship in Explorer Class in the 9th Hong Kong/Asia Regional IET/MATE Underwater Robot Challenge in April. This is the fourth time that HKUST has won the championship.
