香港科技大學(港科大)近日與北京大學(北大)醫學部及清華大學(清華)醫學院簽署戰略合作協議,共同推進醫學教育和醫學科技創新發展。科大與北大、清華的合作關係可以追溯到創校初期,長久以來在多個學科領域保持緊密合作和交流。此次簽署戰略合作協議,標誌著港科大將與內地兩所頂尖高校攜手,在醫學領域進一步深化合作,充分發揮各方優勢,共同促進醫學教育、前沿科技研發和臨床應用的發展,為國家和香港健康事業作出重要貢獻。
北大醫學部是中國政府依靠自身力量開辦的首間專門傳授西方醫學的國立醫學校。自1912年成立,北大醫學部匯聚了頂尖的師資隊伍和豐富的教學資源,擁有19個國家級、70個省部級科研平台,轄下六家直屬附屬醫院,取得了一系列具國際影響力的科研成果,培養了一大批高水平具國際化視野的醫學人才。早在2000年,港科大就與北大、深圳市政府共同成立了深圳北大港科大醫學中心,開創性地打造集醫療服務、教學、科研和成果轉化於一體的創新醫學平台。同時,港科大與北大醫學攜手探索培養兼具科研及臨床能力的覆合型醫學人才,聯合開設醫學博士-哲學博士(MD-PhD)雙學位課程。此次合作雙方將在兩地學生臨床培訓、教學資源共享、師資交流等方面展開更深入的協作,推動醫學教育模式的改革與創新。此外,雙方還計劃在精準醫學、生物醫學工程以及重大疾病防治等關鍵領域協力攻關,為解決國家重大健康問題提供有力支撐。
清華醫學院則致力於以科技賦能醫學實踐,高度重視將前沿科技轉化為臨床應用,在人工智能、基因編輯、精準醫學以及醫療設備研發領域取得了一系列成果,與港科大的優勢高度契合。清華醫學院下設基礎醫學院、臨床醫學院(北京清華長庚醫院)、生物醫學工程學院、藥學院、醫療管理學院及器官移植與仿生醫學研究院等六大教學科研機構,並擁有北京清華長庚醫院、清華大學華信醫院及清華大學玉泉醫院等三家附屬醫院。這些研究機構和附屬醫院在科研和臨床領域均具備國際領先水平,為清華醫學的發展提供了強大支撐。此次清華與港科大的合作,將聚焦未來醫學發展的新方向,通過跨學科協作,探索如何將尖端科學技術轉化為臨床應用,培養兼具科研及臨床能力的覆合型醫學人才,以滿足社會不斷增長的醫療需求。與此同時,雙方還計劃在醫療管理領域聯合培養具有國際視野和創新能力的醫療管理人才,為中國醫療體系的現代化建設貢獻力量。

HKUST Builds Green Living Hub for Students
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) celebrated today the opening of Jockey Club Global Graduate Tower (the Tower) – a new hostel supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), that offers a total of 504 bed spaces for the University’s research postgraduate (RPg) students. The new tower not only comes with innovative green features which earned it a prestigious green building award, but is also a testing ground for a sustainability project that aims to cut energy consumption and change hall residents’ behavior towards a more sustainable lifestyle.

The HKUST Global Days of Changemaking (rebranded from HKUST Service Learning Day) with the aim to mobilize all HKUST members to take action and solve social problems in their communities to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Students, faculty, staff and alumni in Hong Kong or those currently living overseas can engage in various changemaking efforts coordinated by HKUST Connect to contribute to initiatives that improve their communities.
