Remarkable Achievement of WONG Man Yi Rachel atAcrobatic Gymnastics National Championships 2017
Miss WONG Man Yi Rachel (Year 3, Division of Life Science) is an elite athlete in Acrobatic Gymnastics. She represented Hong Kong in?Level 6 Mixed Pair Category? at the Acrobatic Gymnastics National Championships 2017. The competition was taken place from 22 to26 Nov 2017 in Jiangsu which attracted all top acrobatic gymnasts from China to compete with each other.

HKUST Holds 25th Congregation Conferring Honorary Doctorates on Four Distinguished Academics and Community Leaders
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) held its 25th Congregation today (17 November) and conferred honorary doctorates on four eminent academics and community leaders. The Honorable Mrs Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, Chief Executive of the HKSAR government and Chancellor of the University, GBM, GBS, presided over today’s ceremony. HKUST honorary doctorates were awarded to four outstanding individuals in recognition of their distinguished achievements and contributions. This year’s recipients were (in alphabetical order):
Prof Emmanuelle Charpentier, Director of the Department of Infection Biology at the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology – Doctor of Science honoris causa
Mr Ian Fok Chun-Wan, Chief Executive Officer of Fok Ying Tung Group – Doctor of Social Sciences honoris causa

HKUST Graduates Move Up to 12th Worldwide, Tops Greater China In Global Employability University Ranking 2017
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) has risen one place to rank 12th worldwide and No. 1 in Greater China in the high-profile annual Global Employability University Ranking this year. HKUST graduates have been ranked the world’s top 20 most employable and the most employable in Greater China five years in a roll.
HKUST President Prof Tony F Chan is glad to see the ascent. “I am very proud of our graduates who continue to be ranked amongst the most competitive and desirable employees in the global job market. It attests to their personal quality and the high regard that their employers have placed on them.
