Sponsorship for International Conference

To support HKUST’s vision as a leading university with significant global impact and to enhance University's international visibility, the International Conference Sponsorship Scheme was launched.

This initiative provides funding for HKUST schools, departments, divisions and centers to organize international conferences and symposiums that convene renowned scholars, researchers, policymakers and industry experts from around the world. The aim is to discuss the latest trends and developments in key research areas.  The sponsorship can be used to cover a range of expenses associated with hosting large-scale physical event(s) in an impactful manner, including F&B, marketing and promotional materials.

Sponsorship

Each conference will be sponsored for up to HK$100,000, taking into consideration of the following criteria:

  1. Length and format of the international conference
  2. Number of international speakers
  3. Number of participants
  4. Number of funding source(s) secured

  • All HKUST schools, departments, divisions and centers are eligible to apply for the sponsorship scheme.
  • The funding should only be used for organizing the applied conference to be held on the HKUST campus.
