裘槎基金会于12月6日举行裘槎基金会成立纪念日晚宴暨颁奖典礼，向来自香港城市大学、香港科技大学及香港大学的三位优秀学者颁发2025年「裘槎优秀科研者奖」，以表扬他们的卓越科研成就。颁奖典礼由杨紫芝教授主礼。

得奖学者简介：
香港科技大学化学系孙建伟教授
孙建伟教授现为香港科技大学化学系教授，他于南京大学先后取得化学学士及硕士学位，再于芝加哥大学取得博士学位。
孙教授专注于有机合成领域，致力于研究非传统而可持续的方法来制造重要的有机分子，包括药物中间体等生物活性分子。他的研究强调「手性（chirality）」，这是一种重要的分子特性，化合物以不可重迭的镜像形式存在，从而影响其生物活性。他在「选择性手性合成（selective chiral synthesis）」方面提出了创新方法并且发明了新的催化剂进行精确的反应控制。孙教授的工作在促进药物开发、材料科学和化学物品可持续处理方面，具有重大潜力。

Hey there! I’m excited to share my journey with you. Growing up as a beach lover, I spent countless summer days swimming, yachting, and surfing. I loved the beach, but I always hated accidentally gulping down salty water! I wondered why seawater was salty and if it could be made tasty to drink. Little did I know, this curiosity would spark my passion for energy and environmental engineering.
