裘槎基金會於12月6日舉行裘槎基金會成立紀念日晚宴暨頒獎典禮，向來自香港城市大學、香港科技大學及香港大學的三位優秀學者頒發2025年「裘槎優秀科研者獎」，以表揚他們的卓越科研成就。頒獎典禮由楊紫芝教授主禮。

得獎學者簡介：
香港科技大學化學系孫建偉教授
孫建偉教授現為香港科技大學化學系教授，他於南京大學先後取得化學學士及碩士學位，再於芝加哥大學取得博士學位。
孫教授專注於有機合成領域，致力於研究非傳統而可持續的方法來製造重要的有機分子，包括藥物中間體等生物活性分子。他的研究強調「手性（chirality）」，這是一種重要的分子特性，化合物以不可重疊的鏡像形式存在，從而影響其生物活性。他在「選擇性手性合成（selective chiral synthesis）」方面提出了創新方法並且發明了新的催化劑進行精確的反應控制。孫教授的工作在促進藥物開發、材料科學和化學物品可持續處理方面，具有重大潛力。

Hey there! I’m excited to share my journey with you. Growing up as a beach lover, I spent countless summer days swimming, yachting, and surfing. I loved the beach, but I always hated accidentally gulping down salty water! I wondered why seawater was salty and if it could be made tasty to drink. Little did I know, this curiosity would spark my passion for energy and environmental engineering.
