Sustainability Thinking Course Driving Behavioral Change on Energy
A new 3-credit course, ENVR 3010G Sustainability Thinking was offered in last spring semester. This hands-on course was designed for students who would like to learn more about sustainable behaviors and apply sustainable thinking in a real-life project.

科大BizInsight@HKUST論壇 探討華人家族企業未來發展
香港科技大學商學院(科大商學院)於2017年9月13日舉辦BizInsight@HKUST午餐論壇,家族企業學者與新一代商界精英共同探討華人家族企業的未來發展。
出席論壇的與會者包括逾160位商界領袖、家族企業專業服務機構的代表及科大好友。論壇同時安排儀式,慶祝陳江和基金會再次捐款予科大商學院陳江和亞洲家族企業與創業研究中心作相關研究。
科大校長陳繁昌教授表示:「科大提供全球頂尖的商學教育,致力培訓新一代的商界領袖,研究對全球經濟發展影響深遠的議題。陳江和基金會再度慷慨捐贈,有助我們推動相關研究及分析案例,為亞洲家族企業與創業研究作出貢獻。」
陳江和基金會創始人暨新加坡金鷹集團主席陳江和先生表示:「我們深信教育及卓越研究的價值。2017年正標誌著我創業50載,我衷心希望研究中心能續創佳績,協助更多亞洲家族企業及其新生代,建立、保存及延續家族財富、傳奇及和諧。」
金樂琦教授為陳江和亞洲家族企業與創業研究中心創始人暨主任,在其帶領下致力成為亞洲家族企業與創業研究領域的領先機構,在學界、業界和政策制定者之間發揮橋樑和紐帶的作用,加深對這個愈趨重要領域的知識。
金樂琦教授於論壇中闡述未來華人家族企業的趨勢,並解釋華人家族企業在全球經濟的重要性,以及他們如何跳出傳統產業並尋求新機遇。他指出:「從家族企業的真實案例中學習,是最有效瞭解家族企業問題及其複雜性的方法。」
論壇包括由陳江和亞洲家族企業與創業研究中心副主任彭倩敎授主持的互動討論環節,討論嘉賓包括余仁生貿易(香港)有限公司董事總經理余在啟先生、啟明創投主管合伙人梁穎宇女士及Origami Labs行政總裁及九龍表行總經理黃家恆先生。這三位年輕一代家族企業成員分享在家族業內外的創業和管理經驗,以及對未來家族企業的己見。

Risk Management and Business Intelligence (RMBI) students won the "Best Business Idea Award" in EY Hackathon Hong Kong 2017 with a flight delay prediction project which was recommended as the highest commercial value project in the competition.
