Prof. Kei May LAU, Fang Professor of Engineering and Chair Professor of Electronic and Computer Engineering (ECE), has been selected as the 2020 recipient of The Optical Society (OSA) Nick Holonyak Jr.

香港科技大學（科大）舉行第五屆冠名教授席就職典禮，向11位傑出教授頒授冠名教授席及表揚各捐贈者對大學的熱心支持。 因應2019冠狀病毒病的最新發展，是次就職典禮移師至網上舉行。科大校董會主席廖長城先生和科大校長史維教授擔任就職典禮的主禮嘉賓，各捐贈者及友好亦一同參與，祝賀冠名教授席的成立。

鄭光廷教授榮獲2020潘文淵文教基金會研究傑出獎

香港科技大學（科大）今日向五位傑出學者及社會領袖頒授榮譽博士，並向五位傑出人士頒授榮譽大學院士，表揚他們的重大成就及其對社會的貢獻。典禮由科大校董會主席廖長城先生及科大校長史維教授主持。今年的榮譽博士及榮譽大學院士分別為（按英文姓氏順序排列）：
