With the generous sponsorship of Wong Chak Chui International Enrichment Scholarship 2016/17, four IPO students went aboard to take up internships and earned eye-opening working experiences in different industries.

Internships are an important part of university life to gain real world working experience as well as discovering and understanding yourself. As Pishun (T&M-DDP) said, "whatever you do, do not restrict yourself by what you study, because the future is full of possibilities."

In the past 2016/17 academic year, Dual Degree Program in Technology & Management (T&M-DDP) students joined various competitions and demonstrated their outstanding abilities and potentials of future consultants and engineers.

The Summer Internship Closing Ceremony, organized by the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) was held successfully on 11 August 2017, indicating that the AA Summer Internship Program 2017 finally came to an end.

香港科技大學（科大）於學生宿舍推出全新「首年住宿生活體驗」計劃，旨在讓一年級新生順利過渡和適應大學生活，並透過各項宿舍活動，為新生營造關愛共融的學習環境。 科大一向致力充實同學的大學生活，今次的先導計劃，為約500位新生﹕當中包括約四分一非本地生，提供滿一個學年的住宿安排。入住宿舍期間，他們將獲得「本科生學長導師」的照料。這批高年級學長會安排不同活動，以便宿生們建立友誼，協助新生融入環境。 科大現為所有一年級學生提供最少一個學期的住宿安排，此計劃啟動後，大學將逐步提升新生的入宿比例，期望最終所有新入學的本科生，均獲最少一年大學住宿的機會。
