Risk Management and Business Intelligence (RMBI) students Charles WONG and Florence SZETO together with their teammates from The University of Hong Kong won the Champion of the HSBC Financial Dialogue Series - FinTech Challenge 2017 in early August 2017.

香港科技大学（科大）机械人团队(团队)今年横扫各项本地及国际赛事合共九项殊荣，当中包括于海洋先进技术教育（MATE）在美国加州长滩举办的国际遥控机械人（ROV）大赛中，勇夺世界冠军。是该比赛自2002年开始，首支赢得世界赛全场总冠军的亚洲团队。 继团队的Robocon小队「火之龙」于今年六月的全港大专生机械人大赛中八度夺冠后，另一支专责设计水底机械人的科大机械人小队「白鲸」，亦击败来自欧洲、美加、亚洲，以及中东地区的24支冠军队伍，夺得国际遥控机械人大赛世界赛的全场总冠军以及安全意识奖。

The new Library website was rolled out in August 2016, with massive content migration completed in that summer. It replaced our 20 years old in-house developed library website system with a completely new look and design.
