On 8 March 2018, we were delighted to have Dr Jimmy Tong, Associate of Building Sustainability at Arup, to share his professional knowledge and experience on the topic and help shape students' mindset on analyzing and interpreting scientific data critically.

With the support of Barons & Company, HARMAN, a Samsung company and IBM Global Business Services, 2017 fall term's Corporate Project merged artificial intelligence with executive recruitment to coach students to provide an AI solution in executive recruitment to gain competitive advantages for business growth. Developing E-Learning for Information Literacy
InfoLit for U MOOC is an information literacy course-ware developed by 8 JULAC libraries that was released in January 2018. It is available for individual use across all UGC-supported universities, and beyond, as a self-paced non-credit-brearing asynchronous class.

You don’t have to wait for postgraduate studies to produce significant research at HKUST.4th year engineering student Jordy Evan Sulaiman, from Indonesia, faces the same old phenomenon every time he returns home: roadside pollution. The problem has plagued his home country since he was a kid, and he grew up thinking how he could find a cure via science.The passion brought Jordy to HKUST, where he got a head-start to begin a research career as an undergraduate. Last summer, the chemical and biomolecular engineering major found a way to advance a more sustainable future for us all, successfully undertaking a clean energy research project to boost the adoption of direct ethanol fuel cells as an alternative power source.

From Gymnastics to Neuroscience, Veronika Cencen is leaping from strength to strength.
Bio-engineering PhD student Veronika Cencen's upbringing, hobbies and interests have seen her go from growing up in Beijing, and Slovenia, to studying at Princeton and The University of Ottawa, and performing gymnastics in Slovenian national team at the World University Games in 2013.
HKUST’s international outlook and reputation makes the next logical stop, where Veronika gets to conduct ground-breaking research and unravel the mysteries of the mind. Veronika chose HKUST for its research and faculty strength, top notch Nanosystem Fabrication Facility, and the fact her supervisor has strong co-operative links with Cambridge University. “HKUST is bursting with its youthful energy, enthusiasm, acceptance, and encouragement of diverse interests,” Veronika says.
