Their article, “Room-temperature Ultraviolet Laser Emission From Self-assembled ZnO Microcrystallite Thin Films” in Applied Physics Letters, 72, 3270 (1998) was recognized as one of the 50 most cited papers for the past 50 years in the journal, which is one of the top publications devoted to applied physics.
