HKUST has received a generous donation from the Hong Kong Chiu Chow Chamber of Commerce to support the University’s academic development and research innovation. The donation will also establish a scholarship scheme to encourage HKUST students to explore their potential beyond academics, while promoting exchange of Chinese culture and technology.

A research team led by CSE/CBE Asst. Prof. CHEN Hao, in collaboration with CBE Assoc. Head and Assoc. Prof. Terence WONG, has developed a novel GenAI framework that can produce high-fidelity virtually stained images even when training image pairs are imperfectly aligned, paving the way for faster and more tissue-saving histopathology workflows.
