HKUST and Elsevier jointly released a report titled 'Driving Socioeconomic Impact Through Research and Innovation: Insights from HKUST.' The report highlighted that HKUST's research output has achieved a 10% growth rate, higher than that of other local institutions, with approximately 1,670 patent applications and 700 grants over the same period.
