An Eye Opener
Silicon Valley is the dream destination for every emerging computer engineer, and Year 2 engineering student Jeff Hu made it there through an internship at Augmedix (US). Jeff had his eyes opened and the experience made him feel "reborn".

Silicon Valley (SV) has been the mecca of startups for quite some time, and an internship in SV is one of the most sought after positions among university students around the world. HKUST sophomore Jeff Hu, who secured an internship at Augmedix, the largest company collaborating with Google Glass, was among the lucky ones last year, and he soon discovered that the experience was life changing.

Michelle is participating in the history-making project “Inspiration” featuring Hong Kong’s FIRST homebuilt and locally registered aircraft now flying around the world. HKUST graduate helps make Hong Kong aviation history Inspiration, Hong Kong’s first homebuilt and locally registered aircraft, made headlines in August when it took off for a three-month around the world tour. Among the crew that made Hong Kong aviation history was HKUST alumna Michelle Lee, who is now part of the aircraft’s ground support team. A 2015 graduate, Michelle grew up watching movies like Top Gun and was always intrigued by the marvels of flight. Drawn to engineering as a high school student, she enrolled as a mechanical engineering major at HKUST, where she studied subjects related to aeronautical engineering.

The career of the greenskeeper
My name is Joel and I am graduated from HKUST BSc(Chem) 2002, I have started the greenskeeper career at 2002 in a golf course, and now the Grounds Manager of the Hong Kong Cricket Club. This is a very special job that I have never thought before I graduated. And this is a job very not common in Hong Kong.
After few years of training, I am now the Grounds Manager of the Hong Kong Cricket Club. Looking after a cricket field and the lawn bowling green. In the time of the my training, I have been to different places for train. The countries Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and England. Those are very favourite places in the world of the game of the cricket. And also building a very strong knowledge in this career.
